April Bower | Roller Forging | Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 | 6 pm until 9 pm

Learn to use a Rolling Mill to do most of the work for you when tapering a rod or heavy wire that looks completely hand forged . You can create large tapers to delicate tendrils using this technique   which can be useful in creating your own designs

In this 3-hour evening class you will use a your rolling mill to partially shape a 6 gauge silver wire into a taper, do some hammer work and end up creating a roller forged double wrap ring. There will be demos on melting and pouring ingots, and If time allows, (while waiting your turn at the rolling mills) you may get to practice pouring your own, so bring some scrap silver to melt if you want to. (1/4 oz – 1 oz).
