Class Description:

Poetry is often written to create emotional response through meaning and rhythm.

When integrated into art, such as silver and stone in this case, poetry refers to the beauty of expression.

In this class, we will explore the rhythm of poetry by taking an organic approach to creating a pair of unusual kinetic earrings that dance and sway, while discussing what it means to embrace the art of imperfection.

We will explore prong setting as well as bezel setting, play with many, many different kinds of hinges, as well as introduce unusual, organic silver elements, including semi-hollow forms, to add texture and intrigue to our pieces.

This is an INTERMEDIATE class: there will be lots of tricky soldering, and teensy tiny tubing to fuss with. but you know it will be worth it.
