Jessica Jordan Coté | Pastiche Necklace | Friday, February 2nd, 2018 | 9 am – 4 pm

In this class, students will work to create a handmade (working) tribal bell as well as hollow form beads and spacers, all of which will be used to construct a unique necklace that looks centuries old and chimes softly when worn. We will delve into various methods of template making, metal forming, texturing, embellishing and finishing. Students will build the bell, beads, and toggle closure from the ground up, beginning only with flat sheet metal and a few inches of wire. An excellent class for those looking to explore function as well as form.
