Nicole Ringgold | ***NEW SECTION ADDED*** Forest Undergrowth: lichen-on-bark cuff | Tuesday, January 31, 2023 | 8:00 am until 5:30 pm

$260.00

During this one-day workshop, students will learn how to hand fabricate a cuff that mimics bark with lichen using techniques such as sawing, forming, texturing, water casting, fusing, and soldering sterling silver.

**Students must have experience working with a propane/O2 torch system and a solid grasp of silversmithing basics***

Demonstrations will include a multitude of techniques, such as soldering multiple joints in one piece, soldering multiple layers, carving and texturing, and more.

Please note that I offer many different demonstrations throughout the day, so you’re welcome to copy my demonstrations or take the techniques to incorporate into your own version of my designs. I encourage you to explore your own artistic expression.

My philosophy? There is nothing that cannot be done. Together, let’s push all of the limits!

Photos depict examples of Nicole’s creations and will be inspiration for your own unique creations in class.

“My art is inspired by a plant I encounter while hiking through the mountains, the shape of a rock I pluck from the river, my natural surroundings, a sound, glimpse, or smell.”
