Nicole Ringgold | Leaves and Branches | Monday, February 3rd, 2020 | 9:00 am until 5:30 pm
$195.00
During this one day workshop students will learn how to hand fabricate leaves and branches out of sterling silver sheet, wire and scraps.
Demonstrations will include a multitude of techniques, such as fusing and soldering multiple joints in one piece, soldering multiple layers, reticulation, carving and texturing, creating 3-dimensional joints, basic repoussé and chasing.
Ideally students will create at least one branch and one leaf during this workshop.
Photos depict examples of Nicole’s creations and will be inspiration for your own unique creations in class.
“My art is inspired by a plant I encounter while hiking through the mountains, the shape of a rock I pluck from the river, my natural surroundings, a sound, glimpse, or smell.”
