Nicole Ringgold | Sticks and Stones | Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 | 9:00 am until 5:30 pm

$195.00

During this one day workshop students will learn how to hand fabricate branches out of sterling silver wire and scraps, as well as how to flatten and bezel set natural stones.

Demonstrations will include a multitude of techniques, such as fusing and soldering multiple joints in one piece, reticulation, carving and texturing, flattening and bezel setting natural beach stones, drilling rocks, and incorporating them into their work. Ideally students will create at least one branch and bezel set piece in this workshop.

Photos depict examples of Nicole’s creations and will be inspiration for your own unique creations in class.

“My art is inspired by a plant I encounter while hiking through the mountains, the shape of a rock I pluck from the river, my natural surroundings, a sound, glimpse, or smell.”
