Richard Salley | Beyond the Basic Bezel | Tuesday, February 5, 2019 | 9 am until 4 pm

If you feel you are proficient at setting stones with standard bezel wire (30-26 gauge), it’s time for you to step up to using heavier gauges (20-16 gauge) for your bezels. This will give your settings a more substantial appearance and superior protection for your stones. In this one-day class you will learn to make a “castle” bezel with 18 gauge sterling sheet. You will learn some tips, tools and techniques for fabricating a heavy-wall bezel and how to set the stone. Add a hefty band to your creation and leave with a finished ring at the end of the day.

Sawing and soldering skills are necessary to be successful in this class.
